Having been in NYC for the 4th this year. I will add that with all the racial and ethnic conflict that the USA has experienced, it is truly inspiring to know that perhaps the most diverse city in the world is in the USA. 37% of New Yorkers are foreign born and 170 languages are spoken there. And it all works pretty damn well!

Hope you had a good time and that the Brits had a laugh with you “wrapping yourself in the flag” for a day.
